Latvian airline sees less passengers in first quarter 2012
During the first three months of 2012, the Latvian airline airBaltic carried a total of 589,112 passengers, or 2% less than the same period in 2011. In March alone, it saw 217,670 passengers, representing 7% decrease on March 2011 and it operated 3,746 flights, or 14% less year on year.
However, the airline’s load factor in the first quarter was 6% higher than the same period the previous year reaching 70%. Load factor reached a level of 74% in March, 3 percentage points more than in March 2011.
The airline also reports that its 15-minute flight punctuality indicator stood at 95.3% in March.
