Research agency puts Latvian airline in eighth place
Latvia’s national airline airBaltic has been listed eighth in the world’s Top 10 most innovative airlines by the independent industry and consumer trends research agency Airlinetrends. Every two days over the coming two weeks, the agency’s website is revealing one more airline in its list. Other airlines listed so far include Virgin Atlantic, AirAsia and All Nippon Airways.
Airlinetrends mentions airBaltic innovations such as the world’s first inflight car dealership for a custom-made Mini Cooper, roses on board, iPads as inflight entertainment, the world’s first bicycle rental scheme by an airline, a taxi cab service and organic meals in business class.
