For the first time, customers were able to enjoy the new Economy cabin, offering optimum travel comfort, and Premium Economy, with 40% additional space. They also discovered the new Business class, a real cocoon in the sky.

These cabins are being progressively installed on 44 Boeing 777, the heart of Air France’s long-haul fleet:

– Close to 10,000 Economy seats

– More than 1,100 Premium Economy seats

Over a billion euros invested in Air France-KLM’s move upmarket

The Group had already announced an investment of 700 million euros in new cabins, including 500 million for Air France and 200 million for KLM.

With the planned upgrading of both airlines’ Airbus A330 and Air France’s A380 over the next few years, the Air France-KLM Group will invest a total of more than one billion euros by 2017 in the upgrading of its products and services for its customers.

The new Air France cabins are being deployed on 44 Boeing 777 up to 2016.

This summer, KLM is offering its new World Business Class on 22 Boeing 747. In September 2015, all of its Boeing 777-200 and 300 will offer this cabin.

Moreover, the Air France-KLM group will welcome 100 Boeing 787 in its fleet at the end of 2015 and the first Airbus A350 in 2018. The aircraft will be equipped with completely new cabins.

Paris-New York, a legendary route at the heart of Air France’s move upmarket

It’s not a coincidence that Air France has chosen New York to show off its most innovative new products to its customers. Paris-New York is the leading route on the Air France network in terms of capacity. This summer, Air France is offering more than 4,000 seats on this route, with seven daily frequencies, two of which are on a ??codeshare basis with Delta.

Since 1946 and the birth of the transatlantic service, Air France has made this leading destination a showcase for all its innovations. With the launch of the route in the 1950s, Concorde taking off in 1977, the introduction of the A380 in 2009 and the first flight equipped with the new cabins in 2014, these are just a few of the many milestones that have marked Air France’s history in New York.
