Net investments would exceed €1 billion by 2020
Air France has dropped its ‘plan B’ restructuring of job losses, reports suggest. Instead, it is now targeting growth in its long-haul network between 2017 and 2020.
In new plans presented to the airline’s works council, net investments at Air France would exceed €1 billion by 2020. Earlier in January, the airline said it would be posting an operating profit for 2015 – its first since 2008.
However, the new measures are conditional on what the airline calls greater productivity by pilots and cabin crew. Airline and employees have had a troubled relationship, especially last year when plans for massive job losses resulted in clashes with staff.
