Air France and Delta sponsor 43nd Deauville American Film Festival


Trans-Atlantic partners Air France and Delta Air Lines are once again sponsoring the Deauville American Film Festival. The 43rd festival will run from September 1-10, 2017 celebrating the best of American cinema.
With their focus on entertaining their customers every day, the event at Deauville is a natural choice for Air France and Delta. Both airlines share a passion for film and with up to 69 flights between France and the United States each day, there is a vast array of travel options – not to mention hundreds of movies to choose from throughout their flight.
More than 1,200 hours of inflight entertainment in Air France cabins
With over 38,000 seats equipped with in-seat video screens on long-haul flights and more than 1,200 hours of programming each month, Air France is one of the world’s biggest cinemas! It offers a range of entertainment from boarding to arrival at their destination airport – an offering that changes throughout the year and which comprises feature films, games, music, TV series, and more.
Air France brings all passengers latest-generation 24-inch HD touch screens in the La Première cabin, 16-inch screens in Business Class, 12-inch ones in Premium Economy, and 9-inch screens in Economy. The new screens have a completely overhauled graphic interface inspired by tablet computer navigation techniques, available in twelve languages.

Delta offers premier in-flight entertainment
Delta operates the world’s largest in-flight entertainment-equipped fleet with movies from Hollywood, Bollywood and Nollywood. The airline has invested billions of dollars in recent years to improve its customers’ journey from airport to airport, including an upgraded Delta Studio.
Delta Studio’s collection provides the best depth and breadth of content in the skies, from its line-up of award-winning titles to regularly updated titles featuring current box office hits. All entertainment is free on international flights and two-class domestic aircraft. This includes up to 300 movies, 750 TV shows, 100 foreign film titles, 2,400 songs, 18 channels of live satellite TV on select aircraft and a selection of games. Flights from France feature on-demand individual seatback screens in every cabin.
What’s more, thanks to Delta’s Wi-Fi connectivity, movies and TV shows can be streamed directly to personal devices to enjoy throughout the flight. Delta operates the world’s largest WiFi-equipped fleet, with more than 3,500 connected flights each day enabling over 370,000 to get online in the air every day.
A powerful network between Europe and the United States
With more than 270 peak daily Transatlantic flights and a fleet of nearly 140 aircraft, the joint venture between Air France-KLM, Alitalia and Delta Air Lines provides customers with the benefits of a vast route network offering more frequencies, competitive fares and harmonized services across the Atlantic. The JV network is structured around seven main hubs: Amsterdam, Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York-JFK, Paris-CDG and Rome-FCO, together with Cincinnati, Salt Lake City, Seattle and Los Angeles.
The JV offers customers access to over 270 destinations beyond the 27 North American gateways and more than 215 destinations beyond the 30 European gateways throughout Europe, Asia and Latin America. The JV represents over 20% of total trans-Atlantic capacity and generates approximately $10 billion in expected annual revenues. Under the terms of this agreement, the partners jointly operate their trans-Atlantic routes, thereby sharing revenues and costs.
