Quantum of the Seas has many eyecatching attractions
Travel agents love the first look they’ve got of Royal Caribbean International’s newest class of cruise ship. Quantum of the Seas has plenty of “wow” factor, Travel Weekly writes, with its thrill rides, gadgets and fun features.
For the first time on a cruise vessel there will be, as Travel Weekly puts it, “a sky-diving machine, a circus school and a crane-operated glass observation pod that will suspend guests 300 feet above the ocean”. Agents who attended the unveiling event last week were impressed.
“Just when you think it can’t be more innovative, they push against the limit,” Kimberly Wilson Wetty, co-president of New York-based Valerie Wilson Travel International, said. She added that she liked Quantum’s four ‘super categories’ of combinable cabins. “I love what they’ve done with interconnecting rooms. Hotels have done a great job recently with that, and it’s nice to see a cruise line paying attention to that, too.”
