AccorHotels buys luxury room sale platform

VeryChic is digital platform for sale of rooms and breaks
AccorHotels says it has bought VeryChic, a digital platform for the private sale of luxury hotel rooms and apartments, cruises, breaks and packages.
Created in 2011, VeryChic enables more than 3,000 luxury and upscale hotel partners to optimise their distribution and provides them with access to new guests via its private sales.
VeryChic selects the hotels it offers carefully, located in around 40 countries worldwide, to “guarantee a unique and personalised experience for each of its members”.
It offers via its website and app more than 4,000 exclusive private sales throughout the year, to a member base of more than 5 million. AccorHotels says that “the quality and competitiveness of its offers mean it can rely on repeat custom of nearly 50%”.
In buying VeryChic, AccorHotels intends “to strengthen its expertise in the creation of exceptional private sales and also to enable VeryChic to accelerate its international development and become the global leader in its sector”.
