Ethiopian Airlines operates commercial flight
Ethiopian Airlines became the first carrier to resume its Boeing 787 Dreamliner service on Saturday when it operated a flight from Addis Ababa to Nairobi. It was the first commercial 787 flight since the aircraft type was grounded in January due to problems with its battery system.
Other airlines are now preparing to bring dust off their 787s, including All Nippon Airways, the 787 launch customer, which has 17 of the planes in its fleet. The Japanese government approved Boeing’s battery fix on Friday.
