The small neighbouring countries of Central America situated between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea are perfectly suitable to be experienced as an interesting and varied combination – for example: Costa Ricas abundance of nature with Nicaraguas colonial town of Granada and the Mayas cultural heritage in Guatemala. With this in mind, the incoming alliance „Latincoming“ was founded in 1999.
Latincoming meanwhile comprises seven (7) member agencies in as many Latin American countries – namely: Mexico, Cuba, The Domenican Republic, Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua and Guatemala. All agencies are under European management being among the very best DMC’s in their respective countries.
Traditionally, one visits the region by participating in a guided tour that exploits the countries’ highlights from a bus/minivan or in a more active way by hiking or byking. For some individual travellers various interesting activities can be put together to form an ideal travel itinerary while others may prefer to move around independently with an open-voucher system and a rental car – especially within countries like Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Being located between two large oceans, the region also offers many fantastic beaches suggesting that one should add a few more days of sun and relaxation.

Country combinations of Costa Rica and it’s neighbouring Panama or Nicaragua round up the trip to a comprehensive travel experience of nature and culture. „Latincoming“ has started a cooperation with Stockholm based Target Marketing of Scandinavia AB and a presently conducted tele-marketing campaign is meant to identify the needs of Nordic tour operators and travel planners in order to bring the region closer to it’s clients. By doing this, „Latincoming“ seeks to establish partnerships with a few selected and interested agencies by offering them future support through familiarization with Latin America and it’s products.
